The Role
We’re looking for a Backend Engineer (f/m/d) who thrives on solving complex challenges with clean, scalable code.
You will design the core systems that make medical data accessible, secure, and meaningful for research and care.
What You’ll Do
- develop and maintain backend services and APIs for our data and AI infrastructure
- build AI-powered data processing pipelines using LLMs
- work closely with frontend, data, and product teams for seamless integrations
- design systems for scalability, reliability, and medical data compliance
- automate deployment, monitoring, and security pipelines
What You Bring
- experience with Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and testing frameworks
- knowledge of cloud platforms, AWS preferred
- experience with serverless architecture and Docker containerization
- LLM and AI integration expertise (OpenAI, Vertex AI, prompt engineering)
- experience with CI/CD tooling
- a collaborative mindset and strong English communication skills
Nice to Have
- experience with med-tech software or medical data
- knowledge of healthcare data standards (FHIR, ICD-10, SNOMED)
- experience with authentication and identity management tools
- Kubernetes experience
